OUR ROLE

Brand + Web designers

Scope

Brand design, web design

  • Our goal was to not only rebrand Emily About Face but also create a homebase for her and her many ventures. As a woman who wears many hats it was important for her branding to feel approachable and fun yet professional. The website needed to serve as a single link where you can find her blog, skincare, book her for a speaking engagement or buy her book.

  • Our first step during the branding phase of the Emily About Face project was discovering her personal taste and what she most values as an entrepreneur. From there we presented two brand identity options, which were then honed into one final brand identity. We then moved forward to create a functional brand guideline to use in constructing her website.

After extensive research on other individuals in this niche landscape, we started drafting potential pages and layouts needed to effectively communicate all that Emily About Face has to offer. During this time, Emily reached out about rebranding her non-profit Bettyann’s Bag that aids women going through medical crises by gifting them gift cards. Since the Emily About Face website would also serve as a place to receive donations and learn about Bettyann’s Bag, it was important to create one cohesive look that fit into the company’s existing brand identity.

We created Bettyann’s Bag new branding alongside the first draft of the website. After presenting the first draft, no edits were needed and we then went on to create responsive pages for mobile and other browser sizes and optimized the website for SEO. The fully branded website was then presented on our Training Call which we use as an opportunity to go over how to use the website from the backend. After that the custom domain was connected, the final assets and final brand guideline were delivered along with the Training Call video for Emily to refer to for future use.

  • With an exciting new Brand Identity and a responsive, optimized website Emily About Face and Bettyann’s Bag are ready to take on new challenges, create fresh and cohesive content, and have everything needed to expand the brand.
