The Design Guild is a design agency that was started in 2012 by a group of creatives that wanted to work a different way. This collection of independent subcontractors collaborate to provide every facet of branding, communication design and community engagement through their top tier work. We worked with Founder and CEO Christine Walker on a rebrand that better reflected The Design Guild’s unique approach and high quality work.

As our client is an experienced designer representing an extremely talented agency, this process was unique to any other branding project we had done before. From the discovery to final deliverables, we were collaborating with Christine to craft a brand that not only serves The Design Guild now, but can seamlessly evolve with the company over time. The process started with a long period of discovery as we learned as much as possible about the company and what Christine’s goals were with a rebrand. Once we got to designing, we established typography and colors then created lockups for the logo suite which included three logos and an icon with three variations. Once these elements were finalized, we started the build of the company’s new Squarespace website. Not only did we build and custom code the site, we worked closely with Christine to fine tune copy to create the brand voice. We built the work page of the site with a customizable filter that allows the viewer to see exactly what they are looking for as the portfolio continues to grow.

We created a brand and website that fully reflects The Design Guild as an agency while letting its work speak for itself. The number one goal for the outcome was to put emphasis on the projects that The Design Guild has done and let the company’s brand quietly support it.
Working with The Design Guild was an incredible opportunity and experience. We are lucky to have worked so closely on the foundational steps of building the brand and will continue to work with The Design Guild on future creative endeavors.
